Hadston last night

We got up to Hadston for 8pm and fished half tide down to bottom water. Last hour down then the action started. First take rod nearly came off the stand and to my surprise it was a codling about 1 1/2lb it went straight back. Put a bait straight back out and whack another big bite pulled in a codling about 2lb. Had another couple of good whacks, missed one and had one come off close in then again another big take and another codling round about 2 1/2 - 3lb mark. Fish look a bit thin but both have been gutted. All in all not a bad night. Bait used rag, lug, mussel and squid and all takes were on lug, rig used pulley Pennell, sea flat and wind south/south westerly.

I was fishing there myself on Friday night and got nowt but weed. Came to the conclusion I was in the wrong spot. I was right at the north end amongst the rocks and gullies. Packed in about 10pm after getting a couple of fastholds. But heyho nothing ventured nothing gained but well done on the fish.

I we seen u m8 were u on the beach first then moved on to the rocks me pal noticed you had gone like there was someone fishing to the south of us and he left also we always do the kelp beds on the spring tides seem to always produce better luck next m8

It was the first time I fished they so was a bit unsure of where to go- still experimenting a bit. I'll lick my wounds and try again this weekend but I've forgotten with it feels like to catcha half decent fish!
