Well decided to try and do a coddy and land a turrot/brill from the beach....had a look at the sea and decided nar as wind was blowing right hoolie.

So headed to the Middens and had 3 casts before i packed in, had 1 coalie about 7" but still have aload of bait left so may hit the river or something 1 day this week.

I was going to say how bad the wind is in Consett Richy, until I looked at the met office website :o :o :o I know there was a bit of snow forecast but it says a possibility of over 30 cm on high ground on Tuesday and where it doesn't turn to snow, 30 - 50 cm rain with very strong winds  . Looks like I won't be far next week. Get the bait used tomorrow morning mate :D :D

Tell me about it, boat out the water in a few days time and leave booked off work so if its snowing i will be taken a flask and a few jumpers :)

It was hard going, wish i never bothered getting bait but will use it up in the river as a good spot 2 miles from my house for small stuff and flatties

Me and the family went to Seahouses last week for a day out and i was surprised to see most of the fishing boats and the boats which go out for divers or the Farne Islands were up out of the water and on the pier. Lots of repair work and painting was going on. One old boat was stripped right down and had all its ballast out.

I had my first fish/blank of the year over on the MOG at the weekend. Cast a few lures towards Ireland and they came back quicker then I hoyed them oot !!!!!!!

Oh well lets see what my normal May first outing brings then LOL
