Had 3 hours down the hall tonight nice bit sea running
bait used just lug had one bite and one fish and nowt
else after that but nice few hours out will be out again
tomorrow on the cod hunt.

Nice fat Codling there Eddie, well done on getting one out. Were you fishing from the Prom or on the beach?
Find it a bit odd that everyone seems to fish from the Prom,often dragging over big expanse of Sand & Shingle as well as having to cast quite a way to even reach the Water!! Whats that all about? Bit dodgy for anyone walking the Beach too i would think.

You see that happen often, i ask myself why? Any undersize fish caught have vertually no chance of been returned alive after being dragged maybe 30/40 yards up the beach over sand + shingle.. Know its easier fishing from the prom, but if yr not willing to go onto the beach to fish would you be willing to walk down to return a fish?

I was fishing from the prom Bob i don't fish the north end of the prom if i did i would fish off the beach i fish the south end its the second ramp along for where
you drive down the water comes in further along there and theres not much
beach.

good catch eddie - I just fished the caves this morning and had 2 small takes - no fish - better baits would maybe of scored . next time im going in the dark hours on the heavy ground at the featherbed.

Aye there seems to be more cod about after dark.
