Hall Beach 24/11 failure

Fished the last 3 hours of the flood and it looked great to me. Just like when I have caught Codling there before, except sea from North rather than South East. Expected a good session but couldn't keep a bait in the water. Even with a 7oz gripper as soon as debris (weed - plastic bags - what looked like raw sewage to me) caught the line it was ripping round.

I think I would have caught if I could have kept a bait in the water long enough.

Another lesson learned perhaps. There was quite a few lads on and no-one catching when I left at around 19:30. Would have liked to stay for the ebb to see if it changed things but had to get away.

I had exactly the same problem off Hendon prom although one of the blokes next to me managed to keep a bait out long enough to hook a 5lb cod.

Hall ramp

Hall ramp

Hi Mate, that's a good fish, I was at the ramp at the North End of the promenade from 15:30 to 19:30. Is there more than one ramp ?

Alright magpies theres one right at the end of prom and the other one below the crows nest pub mate.
