Hartlepool today.

Well lads tried the same m.o. On the beach for Bass and again nothing doing. Sea was just to flat. I am learning all about these fish now and conditions have to be just right. Aim for the third breaker i was told. Well today there was a little ripple.

Went to the Heugh. Was dismayed to see the water crystal clear and a horrible sw wind. Still i loaded up with rag on my two rods and out it went.
Nothing. Bought some of that stuff Blueys. Three frozen fish in a bag. After it thawed tried it.
Tried fillet like mackeral but when i put pieces on they flew off. Tried lumps of the stuff. Stayed on but no luck. I won,t be buying anymore unless its for the boat.

Second cast before i left i got a postage stamp flattie on my old beachcaster.

A fish is a fish so i did,nt blank. Took some photies but missus is in a mood and i can,t upload them.

Funny when i went out this morning she was shouting at the bairn and when i came in she was still shouting at the bairn. Thank god i spent all day out.

Was watching the charter boats coming in. Not many gulls following so that was a bad sign. Got a feeling the lads did,nt have a good day but i might be wrong.

still a good report mate and ya didnt blank ,thats what counts,welldone ,and the bluey,s stuff never seen many reports on catching ,here and anywhere lately

sorry mick , although it did sound suspicious it wasnt meant to sound as it did lol....its just unusual , there not being any schoolies around ,,,,have you been getting any descent ones since the bag you had ? i havent fished there for over a year now,,,,,it use to bestuffed with them ...cheers

Its ok.
My intention now is to catch and release any Bass i catch.(unless its huge)
Conditions were just not right for Saturday. Not enough surf.
