Fished near the bandstand think its called used rag/lug and kipper. Had a couple of whitie not very big but still good sport. My m8 Graham used kipper only and had 5 casts 5 whitie all small. Went long and about 70 yds still same size fish on both. Is middleton pier any good at moment and is roker pier open on end yet. Any info I thank you all. long way to travel to have to have to go somewhere else. CHEERS.

Hopefully Roker will be open in next couple of weeks, weather permitting...

Middleton is never any good
Best off giving the Heugh a go if you fancy the piers

Ye Liam is right bout Middleton only really worth a shot if cant get anywhere else cos too rough. ideally need the sea away for the prom way to fish even tho I got my biggest ever cod tonite whilst flat as a fart from further down from wer u wer at

hello mate the bandstand is a cracking spot better when there's a bit of movement on quite a popular spot with us local lads so if ya can't get near the bottom of the bank try the elephant rock which is about 80 yards to the left that's a canny shot to mate
