Well got down about 2pm and went on Steetly. Sea was massive and at low tide the lead would not hold bottom. In fact waves were coming over the concrete end. Lost one rig to weed straight away.and bust one of the reel seat securers on the spare rod
Decided to try Red Light which was sheltered.
Only one at low water.
Broke my wris****ch setting up,first couple of casts lost rigs with snagging. Things were not running well at all. (knew i should,nt have put the post on about being tooled up).
Stuck it out and quite a crowd appeared.
Ended up fishing alongside Jim Dobie.
The fishing was very poor with only a couple of small codling caught by a lad next to us. Jim caught a small rockling.I blanked. Couple of old boys fishing into the dock had a few whities.
Got to ten pm and decided to call it a day.
The exact opposite to when i was on Steetly with Ian week or so back.
Smeone said people were on Steetly at high tide but there was only a couple of fish.
If the sea has levelled off today it will be much better.

Mick.

You get them days.
Re red light and losing gear. I bought some of those clips where your lead has a light line attachment so if your stuck you just lose the sinker and bring in your trace.
Tried one last night but got a raffle in the 7000 and it snapped at the swivel at the top of the trace.:(
