Hauxley Advice Needed

I'm planning on fishing 4 hours over high water on saturday morning at amble pier. I'll be visiting relatives through the day and then fishing 4 hours over the evening high tide at hauxley. Been digging there a few times but never fished it. I seen some of the features at low tide and the beach seams to have a deep drop off at the north end. Does it generally fish well over high water? Is any distance casting needed? Any bait tips? Most of the advice on the club websites concentrates on the skeers and gulleys around low tide so don't really answer my questions.

you'd probably have a better session north around the corner at Whitehouse Sands depending on the conditions and over high water.

You'd prob be wasting your time at Hauxley as you would need a good sea running and a small tide to fish there. As said above white house sands be your best bet, try the middle of the beach to start with try different casting ranges, south end of the beach is the shallowest, north end heavier bottom but can be really good,
