opted for the long yomp to hawthorn as there was some canny swells coming in with a big high water.
straight away into whiteys, but decided to stick it out with the tide been so big and it been that time of year
just before high water had a lovely pull down on the rod and then it started to run with it. knew it was a canny one and gave it no slack line on the retrieve.
managed to get down to the boulders at the bottom and grab it.
still no double but my second over 7 lb this season the on scales
worth the 30 min walk back to me house
