headlamp conversion can this be done

hi i bought a Princeton Tec APEX Headlamp from the states on ebay cost about 37 pound odd including postage,the lamp is prob the best ive used up to now.
wondered if it could be converted to a bigger chargable battery to last longer
ive seen this one on ebay 6V 4Ah Sealed Lead-Acid Battery (300130564447)if any 1 wants a look thats the number on ebay
if this could be done how would i go about it,any info on cable size,if i would need fuses,stuff like that,any help on how this can be done or if can be done would be appreciated thx

That would work but would you not be better off just getting some higher capacity NIMH rechargeable batteries?

There's some 2700mAh AA's which should last a good while here

If you go ahead just use wire that is no smaller than the stuff already on the lamp.

As keith says 2700 batteries is the way to go i get 3 sessions out of mine before charging them again but always have a set or 2 in my tackle box aswell as there nothing to carry got my batteries from Rechargeable batteries NiMH AAA R03 AA LR6 R6 C R14 D R20 PP3 R22 Ni-Mh and charger, lithium and Alkaline button coin cell from Rapid Batteries

Certainly is keith use them all the time now delivery is quick aswell next day most of the time.

I got one of these lights last year for £6.00 (yes 'six') + couple £'s pp off ebay. Wasn't expecting much but just needed a cheapie back-up light. It's now the one I use all the time and my other £40 light stays in the box as a back up. Wish I'd bought a few of them now.
