Heads up - travellers and dodgy cold callers (Blyth)

Don't know if the two are linked, but a load of travellers have set up camp down at Blyth riverside park and last night quite late on we had some woman knock at the door asking for money for Heart Foundation - far later than any collector would normally turn up, no ID on her, no collection tub, not even a leaflet (rang it into the boys in blue to check out).
 
Heart Foundation scam is nowt to do with travellers. Will find out today. Glad you rang in cos they're bang at it. Anyone genuine collecting for charity will not be phased when you ask for ID and they will have it. Any more like this ring straight in.
 
Didn't know if they were linked, just seemed a big co-incidence. This woman had nothing at all on her so was obviously just trying to be opportunistic without planning anything out beforehand..

ay, about halfway along Coniston Road, the little hammerhead that has the concrete blocks in front of it - they've bust the wooden posts down on the grassed area to the right of it and got in that way, grass is all deep tyre grooves already.
 
Yeah my son lives in a street just at the top of that field.
Gave him a heads up.
The knock on the door could have been to see if the house was empty
