Fished Hebburn today with the bairn, as usual he outfished me 2-1. We were only there for two hours and caught two flatties and a codling. The flatties were caught on lugworm and the codling on ragworm. All fish returned.

we used to be able to fish that stretch of the river but hence no more . you lads on the south side of the tyne should thank your lucky stars as us on the north side have hardly any access between northshields to walker as a kid i fished walker ferry landing navel yard whitehouse ect . kept me plus my mates out of trouble and when the old ship yards were accessible i seen loads of kids fishing now i see them bored throwing stones at buses . anyway vote for me i'll set you free
