As the Winds look to be changing, decided on yet another Cod hunting session. Me & Glen decided on Hendon, as thats where he gave me a good butt kicking on Friday night 6-2 to him. ;) and he wanted to repeat it.

Got there about 10.30am & fished over high till about 4pm, although Glen did leave about 3.15pm.

I had a steady stream of Fish, unfortunately not of the correct type, but Fish nonetheless. :) Ending the session on 5 good Flounder, a decent Coaley & a very small Codlet. All giving canny bites too, so good sport.

Glen on the other hand, couldnt buy a bite & went home with the Wooden spoon. 7-0 to me. :D

Mind you, i would rather have had Glens Bag of Codling on Friday. ;)

Conditions looked spot on for some Cod but it wasnt to be & everyone looked to be struggling to get anything at all.

Good to see Brian J who came along for a session, think he had a size Codling & left just before me. Also Steve,Forum Member "Fish for Tea" who came along for a chat.

You would think with these seas they would be there but obviously that much feed for them out there they don't need to come in. Sunday looks to be the day in my opinion.

Well done Bob. Followed your advice on the fishing the Groin Sunday. Fished as tide going out and not a big tide. Not one snag. Lads around me were getting caught up on the ledge. I give good distance casts and wound in quick. Only managed one coaly - Cod only interested in Peeler-but that's the river for you I suppose.
Mick.
