Hello lads just back from Hartlepool.
Was concerned about the very strong wind but went down and gave it a shot. Pleased i did. I was the only one on and it was a fish a cast. I must have thrown over a dozen to twenty whities back.
caught a tommy codling which went back and a nice one just under two pounds.
I was unable to see any bites with the wind so i gave each rod 15 mins then brought it in.
On one of them i really thought i,d scored a big fish. The rod was bent right over. As i pulled it in i had three big whities on my three hook flapper and the small cod on my other rod which i had also pulled in by accident.
Filleted the fish on the pier and her indoors is still complaining about the smell of fish.
Wind eventually just got to strong to the point of dangerous so called it a day at 7pm.
