Heugh 28/04/11

Fished the Heugh this afternoon from 1.00 till 6.00. Had nothing for the first couple of hours. Another lad there reckoned some lads, overnight had a couple of good codling.
Then my multiplier broke.. gutted, luckily I had my fixed spool with me. fished 50 yards out and tipped the rag with M&S cooked prawns. Dab on every cast after that, couple of take homes as well.. who'd have thought Hartlepool Dabs were classy.

Met a couple of good lads, Mike and Alan, good advice from them and heat blanket should I ever fall in the drink.. many thanks lads...

All in all a good afternoon.. beat the decorating.....

Well done on catching mate. How did yer reel fu*k up, what make etc?

It's an akios. Kids got me it for Xmas. Went fir big cast and it went out making strange noises. After that I couldn't get the reel to lock. As the tide went out. So did my line.. I'll take it back and see what they say, only used it half a dozen times..

well done mate, we fished overnight the other night and had 2 small codling, on the headland hartlepool....

Thats superb..never had a codling from Hartlepool. what baits do you guys use?
