Heugh and prom

Just been down the Heugh tonight, didn't go to the end i just fished this side of the gates and caught 1 small cod, then walked to the prom and did the same 1 small cod ( and when i say small, they where small ). never mind
Reports off the end of the heugh was that there was a couple of whiteys been caught but not much else. Lovely night though !

When lads were comming off they said there had been about a dozen or so fishing and a couple just milling around, one guy i talked to said he wasn't fishing because he was sick of wasting bait and getting nowt ! I must admit after spending the last 3 days split between Steetly and the the Headland i am a little dissapointed because the sea's have looked good for fish (if that makes sense)....

In know what you mean, i was on the heugh on wednesday and it looked spot on but all i got was a 2.5lber in 4 hours, but thats fishing. The heugh can fish best at strange times, i remember speaking to someone who fished it in april on a flat calm day and bagged up with codling up to 6lb

You never know with fishing the Heugh. Some days it looks rubbish and the place throws up a nice fish.

was on the huegh on tuesday night gone fished it down wasnt expecting to see anyone there but there was another 2 lads one of them from off here but cant remember his name lol only seen one codling bout 2lb and the lad never even knew he had a bit bloody typical lol
