hooks

What are you targetting John? For my scratching rigs I use the Kamasan B940 in size 2, also got some 2 hook flappers with them in 1/0. Good sharp hooks and strong enough to land a decent fish if one swims along.

dabs and whiting and hopefully something bigger if it will swallow my bait. do you not use the match version of the kamasan.

Try the Kamasan B940s John, they have a shorter shank and are made with a heavier guage wire.
A lot stronger than most small hooks,so if you do hook anything decent they won,t straighten out.

Use the 940s and not the 940m's for the same reason. When I was fishing the south coast in summer there was always the chance of a double figure smoothhound picking up your bait. The standard 940 as sandworm said is made of heavier gauge wire and much stronger than the m.

Kamasan uptides come down to small sizes mate and they are a good hook which i used for years but i also like the sakuma mantas too.
