horden 19/09 fishless report

i fished horden yesterday morning from 9am till 1pm started off at dene holme not a bite the crabs were out in force so after about 1 hour there i moved along to the black water i started getting bites within minutes of been in the water but couldnt catch them so dropped hooks down to a size 2 still couldnt catch them . after about a hour the bites stopped as the tide started to drop and the pull must of been to much for the small fish. i stuck it out untill it started to rain then came home.

the trawler in this photo was about 500yrds off the beach. and he was just going up and down alday.

there was fish there on tuesday nite but nothing yesterday.

That trawler was there all friday night aswel. Just caught a couple of flatties then

back was ok mate. i will be back down over the weekend but dont know when yet.

hi allan, i used to fish were that big tree trunk was last year straight in front just before white rock it used to fish better than straight down from denehlome but the trunk is,nt there now ,we are going to have a session together one day thro the winter months then you can show me how to catch a cod cause i have forgotton how to do it.
