Fish my usual spot with 3 friends, no cod this time but whities by the bucket-load. Even catching twa a time on a pennel rig lol. An old fella came from further along the north end and said a bloke along there had a cod of 10lb. We never saw it so don't know how true. Quite a bit of weed about at low water but eased as the tide flooded. All the whities wanted was fresh mackerel.
A fish a cast for a while, great sport, but was hoping for something a bit bigger. 3 of the whities were easily over a pound and 1 of them the biggest this season for me.

Noticed quite a few down from here, but nobody said hello??? I was the one right next to the pipe in the group of four.

After read your reports I gave Horden a go on Sat night also had loads of whiting on mackeral,only thing was i arrived in the dark and on the way back I picked the wrong Dene and got lost for about an hour.Still good night was had and I"ll be back.
