Well me and Phil decided to return to Horden this week after Seanyrooroo showed us the ropes last week. This time we wanted to take the car down due to the amout of gear we had with us. After a bit of careful driving we managed to negotiate through the various ruts and pot holes and arrived at Seans favourite spot.
From about 8 to 3 we had around 12 whities between us, and Phil had a few more crabs too. The weather wasn't too bad, a bit of a wind and drizzle but the bites were still detectable. Then at around 3.30am I had a rattle and after a hard wind against the current I landed this little guy.
Probably around 2 to 2.5lb, taken on lug and squid.
5 minutes later the heavens opened, we quickly threw all the gear in the car and made a dash off the beach before it turned in to a bog. There were a few hairy moments when we thought we may have got stuck in the mud but all was fine. We headed to Seaham to use the remaining bait, Phil managed a whitey and I got 3 big crabs
Two of them on the same rig.
