Horden 30/7/08

I was allowed out for a midweek session and thought with all the talk of how Horden is supposedly fishing I thought I would head to the usual spot. There was a little surf running when we got there and things looked promising. 1st chuck resulted in an eel then all was quiet till low water. As darkness crept in I picked up a small red codling around 10oz and an hour later another around the pound mark. My two mates managed a couple of tings each as the tide flooded, but sadly no doggies, ray or bass that had apparently been numerous in previous weeks. Still it was nice to be out and a couple of cod in July from the beach is always a bonus. All my fish were taken on lug and crab.

thought that was you on the mark bud, i was on top the cliff with the mad hound, i thought you may have done better slightly further left fishing up the side of those rocks, the marks changed a fair bit now aint it

It hasn't changed so much at low water Mike, there is still a good depth of water there and theres still cod to be had. The mark further to the left is quite shallow, hence I left it alone.
