Horden 9/2/08

Fished 3pm till 3am yesterday, Horden North end, a bit further north of my usual mark. My mates had 4 whitie and a couple of rockling between them. I had 4 whities, a cod around 2lb and another about 6oz.

Someone from this forum came down in a 4x4 and informed us that my mates car had its windscreen put in. He was parked up on the main road next to the tip. The sods put his windscreen in and his driver side window!! Another car was burnt out at the middle car park and a field was also set alight. Seems as though the local doorknob heads had a wail of a time

Word of warning, if fishing the north end find a safer place to park!!

Whoever it was from this forum can I say a big thankyou for coming down and informing us, and also how very kind to take Wally back up in the 4x4.:thumbup: I didn't speak to you personally, but Wally mentioned that you visited this site.

Sorry to hear about ya mates car.its dickheads like them that put people off parking near to where they are fishing,but at least ya were told about it by someone,which may have explained why the car was not burned out,maybe they seen or heard yous coming back to the car

just had the hound for a walk and drove up to the headland thats between horden and grants houses, theres the remains of a burnt out car up there as well, if its not the same place, a shame that these dickheads dont get burnt to death one day when they set some poor *******s car alight, i know if i saw someone burning that had lit a car i would carry on driving past them

Where we normally park is quiet and we've had no problems. Trouble is it's a big hike and we started getting lazy, so we parked closer by. Big mistake. I've never known it be as bad as last night.

What a barstewards trick. I fished the heugh today cos i did not fancy the long walk. And there is no way i fancy leaving my motor by the old factory.

sean well done on the fish. It was me that came down and told you about the windscreen. its the first time i have seen damahge to the cars for a bit. There was a one burnt out on the beach car park the other week and there has been a few dumped down dene holme.

thanks for the report and info on parking it is a shame you cant park your car with out scumbags smashing it up. they need smashing up.
