Fished the north end of horden beach, just south of the pipe. Got a small codling (undersize) first cast, then nothing till the tide started to flood. Whiting by the bucket load, I lost count at 20!!! Some were a really good size. Also got a flounder 18oz which had taken both hooks on my pennel all the way down. Lots of other anglers down so I assume there was a match on. Worm and mackerel were the baits of choice. Barely a breath of wind and very very little movement in the water. All fish except the flounder were returned alive.

fished horden yest morn 6am till 9 casting lg then short fresh lug and frozen blacks nice bit movement on fished white rock not a sniff one other person down way along beach north ,thought if there had been much doing there would of been more down. just hope this is not signs of things to come or is it just me

I went down at 4pm, got the codling almost straight away but the whiting didnt show till about 8. There must have been 20 people easy, at the white rock when I was there. It's over rated if you ask me. Much better ground to the north end of the beach (and nobody casting over you) and plenty fish in my last two visits.

well done sean the north end of horden always fishes best this time of year.

That I didn't know. Although I'm originally from Seaham so that would explain it lol. Might have a couple of hours over the Fox Holes on Saturday night followed by the pipe again lol.
