Can anyone please tell me why Dawia spare spools are so expensive compared to ABU ones ?

7ht Turbo = £40.00 (RRP) Spool only.

6500c = £18.00 (RRP) Spool, bearings x2, brake holder.

What do you think ?

Its not just the 7ht, I enquired about a spare spool for my Daiwa regal 4500 baitrunner and that had a daft price tag of £27, only £13 quid less than a brand new reel..!!!

I never understood why my 7ht spare spool back in 1994 cost £30.

Spares for ABU's are much more pocket friendly.
