Alright lads.

Just scouting out some winter marks I've not fished before and am going to walk around Howick Haven. Heard to tell from looking at the maps but where is the best place to park up. Looks like it could be a long trek from the road?

haven, rumbling kern doctors house and nearby just park side of road near gates if in right place the farm is in front of you slightly right just short walk 5mins or less to docs house , bout same to left of rumble kern and less than 10 mins to haven thats me any and am slow

Cheers mate - struggling to see the b roads on the crappy tablet I'm using. Don't suppose you have the road number or is it more farm roads?

Questions questions, but what's Rumbling Kern like to fish.

the haven is a great place to fish when the conditions are right in winter the place is riddled with deep gullies its tackle hungry but worth the loss always decent size cod and conger
