Me and me pal went up to Howick yesterday, haven't been up there for a few years but we thought we would give it a go. When we got up there we couldn't believe how rough it was there was quite a strong northerly blowing so we gave the point a miss and tried rumbling churn. Got a couple of canny knocks but nothing really. Got talking to farmer who lives opposite docs house he said because of all the rain we have had there's no fish inshore they're all about 20 mile off, so if your thinking of going up that way save your petrol money.:(

Unlucky, its nout to do with the rain (we havn't had much). Its that time of year when theres nout about. It should start chucking some kelpies up after a long spell of calm weather.

Unlucky mate.........would ignore the farmer the rain we have had is well below the seasonal average and the ground is bone dry even with what we have had recently, more to do with the water temperature due to a very cold March April, thats maybe the reason the fish are offshore
