:o hi lads & lasses, thought id wet a line this morning opted for cullercoats harbour over low water not bad upon arrival nice sea running good lug bait 3rd cast brought a small 8" codling then it arrived! wind blew out of nowhere straight in my face, waves doubling in size it became monsterous within half an hour and i mean bad as i litrally had to crawl off the rocks. so any of you out tonight take care as these are maybe the worst conditions ive endured in a good while korky.

Had exactly the same at the Rathouse this morning, from nigh on flat calm to gale force in minutes. We had a real struggle to get all gear from the lower level without being blown in !!

know wat you mean mate was on shields pier with another 4 lads and it was if some one flicked a switch and we could not believe how the wind changed so much in space of a couple of seconds and the way the sea lifted in a matter of minutes was unreal was like something out of the twilight zone , we all realised the possible danger and we all left and wat a struggle for me a was getting blowed all over the place as it was icy as well

so it goes to show how quick the weather can change and we should always beaware of the dangers of the sea and wind together

We had the same thing happen to us at st marys .Few lads there when we first arrived sea was quite flat just had first cast then wind suddenly picked up and we had to pack up and leave .Everybody else left at the same time .Unreal how quickly it changed.
