Well me mate picked is up around 11am and we popped in the tackle shop for some worm and we where at the fishing mark near enough at 12am. There were a few on the end of this mark(X) as we arrived but the sea was still big so we opted to fish into the seaward side so the wind was on our backs. Just as my mate pulled his rod out of his holdall he relised he had the wrong tip section for his apollo and so we had to go back and get the right tip section for his rod, around 2pm we were back at the mark eager to get our baits in the water as the swell looked spot on 4 cod, a bloke had alreay caught one around the pound and a half mark(first one i have seen in a while). Me second cast produced a canny coalfish well over 30cm, this one was taken on Ragworm and Runnydown.
A few casts later i had a cracking bite which at first i thought it was a codling but it was another decent size coalfish.
This was the better coaly of the two i had, the fish was caught on proper minging Razorfish.
Then second from last cast or summit me mate had this Flounder another fish that was a canny size, also he dropped a small coalfish of on his last cast.
We packed in around 5pm; Baits used runnydown,ragworm,Mussel,Mackeral and Razorfish. Still they'll be some cod about LOL, we were the only ones who were catching and getting bites steadily at Mark X. The sea has calmed down a canny bit since earlier on. I told ya Steve i'd get ya amongst those Cod LOL.
