Fished next to international paints Pelaw, had 2 flatfish and 1 whiting, beat me in law who only caught 1 whiting.

Loads of small Whiting in the river at the minute. I fished Jarrow riverside this afternoon and whiting were the order of the day apart from a few small flatties. I had three whiting and more weed and bits of rubbish than I could be bothered with, packed up when the match finished, that was rubbish too

Can you still get to that carpark next to international paints? im assuming thats where you were fishing from mate?
Yeah river is packed with Whiting... got a few macccy fillets out of the freezer last night to target a few... hopefully get a couple of keepers amongst the smaller stuff.
