so off to amble angling for worm and squid
sailed into a lumpy sea,which stayed with us all day till we came into the ground for the last half hour,in dirty water.the bit in between provided mackerel by the dozen for anybody that wanted them.those that changed their fishing rigs to baited shads and flowing trace very short baited with mackerel and pink hokkis heavily baited with rag worm caught cod to 9 lb and ling to 11 fishing conditions were not perfect,but still a canny day out.the last half hour in dirty water produced a few small(undersize codlings

fortunately we have an apprentice crewman a lad called sconner from ashington,nice lad ok for scrapin and a paintin but no good for owt else he will always be an apprentice,
