Jarra park 13/10

Fancied a few hours local down jarra park after work .
Went down 1.30 and fished till 6.30
Ended up with 4 baby codling and a whiting canny sport on me new salt flattie , there must be 10000's of crabs down there as ya bait was in minutes then stripped , the best way I could catch the fish was to pop it up with a chunk of cork , not prity but kept it away from the crabs and that's how I had the fish ,
Baits rag , lug , mussel , Mackey and razor

thanks for report, heading there myself later on, my hook was stripped every time nearly by those crabs lastnight, only caught a size flatty. me mate got a size whiting.

Well done on the fish mate. I should have stayed local myself, blanked at the pier. The river looked rotten, that's why I headed for the sea.

Had the codling on rag tipped with mackey popped up with cork , the crabs love razor , lol

Next to no snags unless ya under ten yards out
I fished the grass part but I seen a old bloke on Friday at the skate park and he had 3 size codling and 8 whiting ( done better than me ) on rag only
