Worked nearly everyday for 13 weeks n never had spare couple of hours to get rods out so took this week off to rest and fish before season completely ends.
Heard about new ped tunnel being nice new area to fish and thought id give it a go. Fished 1pm til 6pm using fresh rag, fresh yellowtails, frozen bluey and had a bit frozen squid in freezer so took that along too.
Had 2 just undersize whiting and 4 tiny coalies in the first 3 hours then nowt in last hour. Fish all loved the yellowtails and when they were gone so were the fishies. Using 1 up 1 down rigs with lug on 1 hook, rag on other tipped with bluey or squid, the fish only hooked on the lug hook and left the rag alone.
Nice area to fish tho ( not 1 snag all day and never lost a hook) and was nice day weather wise. Glad just to be out there with me rod!
P.S No fish were harmed ( All returned alive) in the making of this report!!
