Looking for a mark around Jarrow,only ever fished the slacks but heard you cant get near now.Theres Jarrow park but not sure where that is.

Jarra park is at the pedestrian tunnel, right next to the skate park. HTH.

try hebburn marin, church bank, and theres the cop shop at jarro (brick yard)

I fish jarrow park often and it's not a bad mark, 1 min from the car, plenty of space, railings, well lit, seats, no snags...and sometimes there's fish (loads of crabs as well though, loads!). I usually fish right in the middle.
there's jarra beach as well (next to the police marine hq), but that's a lot snaggier and more tide dependant, and you'll need to take a rod rest.
Up river you're onto the Hebburn marks and down river the next marks are Shields - mill dam, market docks ('the spirit' and 'codgers corner' are good marks) then the walkway.
