We had a late start today due to Big Tel working :(....he's got to realise there are more important things other than work..:D.
It was 1.00 before we dropped over the first wreck, and like quite a few times lately Tel hit a pollock on the first drop...8lb 7oz Boat Record Pollock.:)

I thought hmmmm, could be a good day, but sadly the land swallowing swells and the breeze that picked up, cost us dear in tackle losses :(.
We decided to change to shads and picked up another 4 codling before heading in at 4.00.
Total fish 9 codling, 1 pollock, a few codling returned and a million macky returned..

No complaints though, i think if we caught 10 fish each trip from now till the end of the season i would be more than happy :) The fish went to the residents of the old peoples home where my mother is living, hope she does'nt promise them fish every week....:o:D

Nice one good size pollack and they really do fight and great to see some returned also.

Slinky has had 1 pollack at least when you up Scotland, think Keith got it.

I seem to get them on the first drop Richy, probably as i put the boat on top of the wreck till i get the drift direction, and they take the pirk on the way past them above the wreck. Tel thought it was a doubler as there was a codling on the same rig..takes something to make the big lad puff and blow..:D

We only had 4 all and Graham spen abit of time fishing just for tem..i.e winding up slow 30-40ft above the wreck and dropping again with lures on flowing traces.

Been looking forward to the Amble boats pollack reports again this year after some great fish last year

cracking report and pics mate you certainly know how to get them pollock i have only ever caught a small on in the time i have been boating and was only small thats a cracker well done lads

Tackle losses  , you wouldn't believe how much gear I've went through today :( , well you and any other boat angler probably would , I know I am going to lose some gear , but when the prk hits bottom and snags before you get the chance to lift it even once ............ THREE TIMES IN A ROW  , it gets a bit frustrating to say the least :D , Did you hear me cursing down in Sunderland?
Nice day out you had ;)
