its alans son thats on the pic with him mate lol

Never seen him in ages so was unsure.

I will have a play around and see if i can make the pic's bigger, i guess this topic will be top for a while as no one will be out fishing from the North east coast this weekedn unless you are in a Destroyer.

They call Allan's son Chris never seen him since he was about 12 year old canny fisherman hope he,s giving Jimmy run for money :o:o:o

Weather not as kind for the lads this time but they still got out close to shore and landed alot of double figure fish with the best being 22lb, with that location you always have somewhere to fish but the best marks are a canny steam from port.

Jimmy landng a nice cod

Update, struggling to catch many due to the weather stopping them getting to the marks, the marks out the swell are not holding many fish as still early and the fish not moved that far in. Sunday (today) looks ok weather so fingers crossed they get into open water today.

Temps between -3 and 4c then with the wind chill off that bbbiiiirrrrr, still could be worse could have missed a weekend fishing then checked the long range forecast only to see enxt weekend is looking the same or worse.

Sunday's Update

Still could not get out of fjord today due to big swell but skipper Alan found us a good hole were we got 12 doulber and three cracking cod Patrick holding a 15lb cod also 22 lb and jimmy with these two mid 20s to 30 lbs.

Jimmy with some mid 20s to 30's...looks bloody cold, almost as cold as Newcastle this weekend.

Final day update from Alan/Jimmy and the lads from norway..
Today the last day very windy snowing raining but still got out to Alan's marks at Norway 12 fish today between 8lb- 12 lbs cods but Chris did get this 20+lb cod that he wanted weather is very unpredictable here in the fjords.

So sounded like a good trip but spoilt abit by the weather, i have know doubt that if the weather had been nice i would of been posting pics every day of 30lb+ fish but as with every type of fishing you need the luck and the weather
