Kayak - bunch of Blankers!!!

Few of us managed a trip off Blyth today. Covered loads of ground for no reward! Heres a few photos.

The kayak lads down on the bristol channel have faired better with a nice fish of 26lb been landed in the last couple of days!

It was very quiet yesterday on the boats as well, we had one flattie. But sure you'll agree, it was nice to get afloat. Full marks for trying..

Also have a look at anglersafloat web site its where most meets are organised. Your more than welcome to tag along and have a go paddling etc but like pete says it may be worth waiting for warmer weather....

Cheers, i'll probably talked myself into buying one before the summer lol. do you guys use dry suite or anything when your out, as a surfer i know that even in the summer with a wetsuit on it gets cold after a while, mind you i dont suppose you spend much time in the water if you can help it lol

Dry suit in winter wetsuit in summer for me but people use drysuits all year round. Before you buy read the info on anglersafloat the safety side is important.

Although im using a hobie at the moment i would recommend a prowler 13 as a good starting kayak or even a big game prowler if your on the larger side. My user name on anglersafloat is mt petes (mallconpak) is bigcod if you need any info.
