Well we launched this morning from blyth beach me and dave around about 9.30am into a slightly windy sea off the land that would have pushed
us at quite a pace if it were not for the drogues. about 1.5hrs after the launch the wind died down and the sea was like glass. Dave lost a good fish first

drop then nothing for a while till he got a coalfish then a codling about 2.5lb. Then to my supprise i got my first plaice of the season, then dave got

another cod and then a really good plaice for this time of the year. I am pleased that they are starting to show after the way the shore angling has went

this year. Here are a few pics just off my phone.

Thanks Lads! Just used a simple 2 hook rig with booms, Rag and squid. Had some good ones last may/june so hopefully this year will be just as good
