Early start, met Jeff 6am launched into a calm bay shortly after. Small northerly swell with a westerly chop and big ebb tide made for an uncomfortable start. Anchored up with two rods baited up with various baits, bites came immediately with codling on both rods up to 31/2lb, a lot thrown back however kept a dozen for the table.Few photos from this morning.

Really is a lovely time of day.:D

Plenty bites from the tommys with the odd better fish .

Back ashore 10ish lovely mornings fishing :)Jeff made a worthwhile trip from S/Sheilds with a nice catch :)

Well done on finding some you must have headed towards cambois we were round the back off the dulce/beacons all over and only one tommy:(

well done mate. you did a damn site better than three of us managed today. one codling between us from the only bite of the day despite covering half of the north sea. don't know what's going on at the minute but the chocolate coloured water doesn't seem to be helping.

Again, the lads with paddles show how it's done. Nice one Davy, goes to show, if you want fish when all else fails, stay close in with bait.

Wonder you didnt see us we were just off church point from 6.30 till 9ish, think a charter boat came just outside us for a while looked like the jfk, then a smaller boat came close as we moved back to base. ........Dave.

Lol I best get to opticians never seen you's well done on hitting them bang on we tried real close in with bait even crab but nowt mind it was on the flood which normally is ok off dulce you must have had them all out:rolleyes::)

Just goes to show they are there just got to put the right food in front of em in a way that makes em take it, I also tried very close in at Souter today with bait, was drifting though, considered dropping the hook down and sitting with uptide gear out for a couple of hours but decided to call it a day and head in for a beer in the garden instead!

Very well done, even more satisfying to know you have found some fish when most have really struggled!

Well done Dave; you never fail.

I just want to say that there are a few old wives tales about how and where to find fish; "look for the pot markers" "fish where the birds are swimming"
I would ignore all those pieces of advice; the only thing you need to look for is dt1's kayak. The fish will be directly underneath it!
The man is a fish magnet!!!
