Just wondering if anyone has fished this spot just next to tynemouth priory , I was down there the other day and it looked like a good mark to try just from the beach

Thanks for any info

The rocks on the either side of the bay are worth a look on a calm sea and big tide. They throw up more than their share of bigger fish.

There is a large sandbar in the middle of the beach about 100yds out at high water, if there is a sea running you will see where the waves start to break.... decent for the odd nice fish in the winter.... I only know its there from surfing the bay lol

can be a good beach for bass m8, 3 hours before high water an a couple back. fishing the prom in a big sea and casting into bay can throw up decent codling in winter.

spinner sandeel frozen from just next to castle rocks casting behing the sand bar can take decent bass aswell.

**** hill and lobster parts are rock marks for winter cod can be heavy ground. these are the rocks closest to the promenade m8, casts of 60 yards or so and cast just north of the light house. good after a heavy sea m8 lugworm and mussel works well and peeler.

i will be doing a lot of my fishing there this winter hoping for a doubler. :D

Thanks for all the info gents im gonna give it a shout when we start having some big seas my aim is for a doubble figure cod this winter and that place just looks fishy to me lol

Thanks again

if you put the effort in m8 and fish those marks in the right conditions theres a good chance you could get a doubler.
