king of the rocks pmsl

Just had a look on WSF, sounds like a herd of sheep, just registering to provide a bit of "balance" ;)

I'd like to mention a few names and situations which may put things into perspective -

Edmund Hilary - what a nob climbing that big dangerous hill

Ellen McCarthur - the irresponsible fool how dare he (she)

Branson - fair enough :red:

Rugby

Feel free to add (or remove)

Do anglers really need this kind of publicity as we will all be tarred with the same brush "we all want to be king of the rocks" no granty we dont,we want to be free to fish where we like, and this sort of bravado will only lose another fishing mark.the next we will hear will be the army blowing a bigger gap in the rock so nobody will ever be able to fish that mark again.Nice one mate, you plonker.

Good Luck to him - i have jumped it many a time - then for some reason while standing ,waiting and weighing the jump up - I Just Couldnt  - never tried it since ,but wouldnt expect it to make the local rag ,loads of people do dangerous things in a day in the life of ......

The Mark cant chuck that many good fish out - and if i could chuck 200yrds i would just fish from the cliff edge in the corner into the flats - But having fished with Granty on this mark ,he really does know it like the back of his hand - what state of tide to fish it,weather conditions etc etc - and you know what

He Gets Fish when most others dont ,from this very mark

Bet He didnt Expect a Front Page though

cliff jumping, great fun....... untill it all gaans rang ouch YouTube - Mountain bike cliff jump . if you have to jump over how do you get your gear over ? is a case of a mate passes your rod over after the jump and you just fill your pockets with leads rigs etc ???

The 200 yards is a wind up, apparently Granty was playing the reporter cos he didnt have a clue about anglers or angling. We could probably do without the bad publicity but do we ever get good publicity? As Sless says "it looks worse than it is" and if they saw some of the other places we get to when fishing there would be uproar!

just wanna hope the reporter doesnt want to ask to see some of the rock marks where i fish down yorkshire sometimes like blea wyke, ravenscar, bemmo etc   :o :o

dodgy shots

dodgy shots

sless is right it looks more dodgy than it is ,them snappers have a habit of makin things look more dramatic than they are and and all reporters are reet drama queens layin it on thick an that .[jamie wear your camouflage gear on monday an make sure your not followed hohoho dangle dangle sshhh]..................!

Tony, just read it for myself.
I really cant believe you spoke to the gazzette and said all those things.
Did you also give them permission to publish the photo?
Was the photo actually you or have the gazzette set it up.

Awaiting your reply Tony before i make any further comment.
