Just aim for Redcar! Kirkleatham museum is signposted and the field is nearby on your right, two entrances about 100 yds apart, just look for the open one and the lads cars. There is a cracking cafe about a mile away that's open on Sundays that does a huge breakfast bap for peanuts! Well worth a visit before hand.

Looking like nice steady south/south west brisk wind for tomorrow so shouldn't be much shuffling the court about(hopefully).
Just hope the rain keeps clear and I can see some big numbers coming on the sheet by the top casters and maybe some pb for others.

I'm going down with Blanchie and it will be the first time on the grass in lotta years for me but I'm really looking forward to it,and be nice to meet the lads again.

a may go down meself and see if i can beat my best whilst doing the two step:D

That two steps a bugger mate, I just end up nearly falling over. laughing that is . once saw a bloke putting the two step in whilst casting off Hendon prom, just looked like he had a dance partner in his arms not a rod. Should have saw me backlash mate, was like one of Jonny Rotten;s jumper,s

Yea always get big distances there wind behind down hill

Guess you havent been to a NESA comp. Kirkleathem is at sea level , flat and surrounded by trees , its probably the hardest venue in the country to get big distances on . The court record of martin watson's was only broken last year after standing since 1999 .Jamie Blakeman today smashed that by 20 yds casting OTG .

That was some casting by Jamie today and I was pleased to see that cast myself because that's a bit of history made that will stand for a lot of years to come.
Well done Jamie and also well done to NESA team for double checking with the tape the correct distance of the court to confirm a new record.

cheers harry was a pleasure to c you yesterday m8 and to witness what was a milestone in surfcasting especialy O.T.G. :o an awesome display of casting from everyone :D to put this cast in context redcar has to be the hardest field for distance in the uk flat as a billiard table at sea level and surounded by trees so to hit a 300 yd cast was truely an amazing feat the first 300 north of huntingdon lets hope many more to come :cool:
