Take a look at this video. The guy seems to talk a lot of sense.
This knot has a multitude of applications. Recently, I have started using a spider hitch for leader knots but i might give this a go to compare.
It would be great for making you own mackerel feathers and tying them to the rig body. At least then you know you own hand built set up would be strong and safe. Just thought I would share the link.
