has anyone been to langley recently? is it fishing well and what patterns are good?

Haven't fished Langley for a couple of years, but it was always one of my favourite spots.

Great little lake, it's only eight feet deep in the middle ye knaa and fowerteen acres.

Used to have a geet colony of enormous carp in it at one time ye knaa but they would nivva take the fly.

Catherine Cookson used to live in that beautiful hoose wih the lawns leading onto the lake ye knaa. Aallways envied that.

fished it on friday tom, was hard going, real pea souper in the morning then brilliant sunshine in the afternoon. 7 of us out and we all caught. lures and naturals, boat and bank, there was no particular 'best' method. best shot off the bank on friday was just up from the boat jetty under the first tree, couple of buzzers/nymphs on a floater cast about 10 yards out. just let them drift in towards the bank on the wind (give them the odd twitch) and hold on tight worked for me

two of us fished langley last week both bagged up and lost count of how many we put back all taken on dawsons olive intermediat line.
