Lazy Daze Sunday catch report

Launched at 9am acting as safety boat for the kayak competition 10am-3pm.
So fishing close in would be the order of the day and keep in close proximity of the yaks.
There was a stiff breeze from the west, so drift fishing in my mind was ruled out. The first few fish were under size, but soon they started getting a bit bigger, steadily picking away for most of the session, except when the ebb tide stopped and until it started to flood.
The lads in the yaks were getting one or two as well.
The best fight went to the Pollock around 3lb in 27ft of water and safely returned.
Next a good bite and pull down made me think, this was a better fish, only to see two brown cod hit the surface at around 4lb each:D
Ended up with 11 keepers, and quite a few returned.

Well done Arthur and thanks for acting as safety boat. I was on one of the yaks and it was a bit like hard work in that wind !! Thanks again from the Yakkas.:)
