Lead heads

Just purchased some twin tail lead heads, iam just looking for some advice as how is the best way to use these. Do you use them the same way as a shad on a long trace with a weight or just use them on ther own. Any advice would be much appreciated.

If they will go to the bottom with out a lead then use them as is, if you cant get them down then fish them the same way as shads.

I have found twin tails out fish shads 2-1 but thats just me.
