Anybody know what the current £ is for lead these days?........and mebbies recommend somewhere I can get some (in Shields preferably)?
I asked the same question about 3 years ago and whithin minutes of posting it, I had a phone call from one of the lads on NESA.....he very kindly gave me (what I thought at the time) was enough lead to last me for a fishing lifetime..........that was before I had been out on a boat fishing the wrecks....lol.

So really, I\'m still none-the-wiser as to the £ of lead and where to get it from.

tc you wont gett it in shields i get all mine at rooneys in south shore road its either 40 or 50p a kilo

I am also having problems getting cheap lead, with boat fishing i use/lose about 1 stone of lead a day lol not cheap when each lead is 8oz r 10oz each.

28 perks is one heluva amount to lose ritchie - how many do you actually take with you ,to carry on fishing the rest of the day - might just come down to the Quay one morning and start selling them - got 20 odd hanging in the garage ,they will never get used by me - puke every time i go on boat -

price of leads up a bit just now at the scrap yards ,there buying in for about 6 quid a stone

ive still got 2 sheets of flashing bout 7 stone or 100lb if jonny dont pull his finger out

Yer i lose about 10 pirks and 5 10oz leads in a 2 day fishing weekend, sometimes more sometimes a bit less.

I almost had to pull out of the boat trip this Wed........had previously arranged for a guy to come up from Aylesbury on the Wednesday.
Then I realised the date and told him it would have to be Thursday - He wasn\'e best pleased, but...hey....I\'m the customer.....it\'s Thursday or nowt.....lol
