We all like to think we're the men in our households - but we all know (deep down) who wears the trousers...."sorry dear? yes I'll be off the computer in a moment...what am I doing? oh just sending some emails....."

So what sacrifices do you have to make in the name of getting the ticket stamped to go fishing?

This week for me (to enable to to go fishing once, maybe twice) I have to:

• Clean the Bathroom
• Clean the Kitchen
• Tidy the spare room (it is full of my sh*t so fair does on that one)
• Mop the floors
• Do the family thing not once but twice
• Oh and I'll prob have to cook most nights as well (and wash up as well)

Not a huge amount I agree - but still a penance for leaving the house for a few hours (you'd think they'd be grateful )

go over to the wife
kick her in the throat and when she comes to

I just say I'm going fishing ( whenever ) and if she moans ,which has only been once bless her I said well OK then I'll go on the drink instead ........ she was quite happy for me to go fishing after that.

I reckon you get off pretty lightly Wallsendo Lol......What do you mean 'do the family thing, not once but twice'? Is that practice for making a family or visitng the 'in laws'. If it's the first think your self lucky mate....I've got more chance of going fishing than getting Jiggy....And bragging about doing it twice is just rubbing salt into the wound!
