Def' a Pouting mate - they can have really broad stripes on them at times...if was a silver fish with scales it could be a Bream..if it was bronzey coloured with geet buggy eyes and a beard it'll be a Pouting aka Scotchy Haggis Eater

If it IS a Bream PM the location you caught it please ;):D

Did you catch owt Phil?

yeah mate 5million macky (thats how it felt lol ) and a sand eel lol

good jod i like mackerel aint it lol i've ate 10 fillets already would recomend them boned salt and peppered splash of worchester sauce, then wacked between 2 sliced of hovis, going to bake some and pickle some tonight. Oh and if you've got the stomoch for it you can just have a bit raw, aint that right sigsy lol

Just a thought lads but are you using bait on the daylites/hokkais etc? (squid/rag/mackerel etc etc)...just going by your pics I can't see any bait being used

Coz If you aint you're always going to catch the mackerel, Pouting and other small stuff...That said I did catch a nice Cod last week on unbaited feathers - but I was trying for the macky LOL
