no probs mate, the heavier the lead yer using the bigger b/s leader yer need plus yev got to factor in the kind of chuck. There's a formula for it but just can't remember it

Depends on what ground your fishing over. Sand/mixed 20lb main line and 60/70lb leader for heavy 30lb straight through. But that's my choice. I would use a rotton bottom just incase you get something big (lost to many big fish for not using one).

10lb to every ounce? For instance..... 5oz lead, use 50lb leader, most lads add another 10lb to the leader to make it 60lb for extra piece of mind.

5oz = 50lb
6oz = 60lb

And so on...
