Just been watching the great rod race with Matt and Mick. I was amazed to see that a traditional way of fishing for trout in Scotland was to use live Mayfly collected from the Loch bank. Mick put two on a line and with a long rod just rested it on the water. And it worked.
Matt used hand made wet and drys. (i take it the wets sink and the drys float)
Some lovely gold Trout caught.
